Cascadepkr: Made the wet trip in and could not locate despite a thorough search.
I'm archiving this for now but will be back on a dryer day to try again.

4 mile roundtrip hike with about 300' elevation gain near Lookout Point Reservoir.
Grab the kids and take them for a hike in the woods. The Goodman Trail takes off to the right after hiking the South Willamette Trail for .2 mile. This trail is basically open year round, but could be muddy in spots during the wet season....hey its Oregon. Parking can be had at the large pull-out off Hwy 58, NO NW Forest Pass required at this time.
After a short bit you will soon lose the sounds of the Hwy with an occasional view back towards the reservoir. There were a few trees down across the trail and a couple of mountain bikers on the way down from the very top, which could be a nice ride too. If it’s a hot day the cache is hidden near a little waterfall that slides down into a nice pool for cooling off, just follow the sounds. You can also take the trail that continues on about 200 yards further to a log footbridge for a nice picnic spot. Make sure to bring plenty of water or purify at the creek.
