CK and I actually hid this cache on February 18th, but I was too busy to submit it, and since it was placed on the spur of the moment the container wasn't exactly stellar. I finally got back and put a better container in place, so I figured it was time to get it activated. Just park at the end of the public road in the little parking area and you're almost there. Take the time to go view the castle on the other side of the water.
The couple that built the castle were from Montreal. Originally they had planned on hosting parties and were going to run it as a B&B. He had always promised her that someday she would live in a castle like a queen.
Most of the windows in the castle were (it is thought) from Scotia Square, when it was being renovated in the late 1980's. He was a structural engineer that worked in the dockyard. His wife almost got arrested many times for stealing beach rocks that you see on the outside of the castle.
When construction began the couple lived in the fish shack that had been on the property and built the castle around it. When the castle was livable they tore it down board by board and pushed them out through one of the basement windows.
Thanks to Cashe Crusaders for the background information on the castle.
Thanks to CK for helping me find this place, suggesting the name, and sending me the pics he took.
