Geocache Description:


The above coordinates will take you inside a Hantsport graveyard. Look around. You should be among five plots of the Mitchner family, early ship builders and seafarers. Nearby, Mitchner Point, is named after Abel Mitchner, circa mid 1700s.
Many more of the family are buried in the area but the name won’t be found in the local directory.

One of the group surrounding you was a lady married to Kenneth. Find and record the last three digits of the year she was born. You will need this number to calculate the location of the cache.

To determine the final North coordinates add 16 to the found number and complete the following:

N 45º 02’ __ __ __

To determine the final West coordinate add 61 to the found number and complete the following:

W 064º 09’ __ __ __

At the new point don’t be surprised to discover more Mitchner ancestors.

The cache is a small lock box with a few trade items and five dollars for first to find.
