High mountain trail that goes by Round Mtn and follows along Nason
Ridge to Alpine Lookout. 6 mile r/t hike will take you to a rock
outcropping at 5,900 ft. NW Forest Pass required if you park at the
trailhead. You are looking for a small 2x3 inch tupperware
container.
After making the 5 mile hike to Alpine Lookout I decided this area
cried out for more caches. The seldom visited She'll Be Coming
cache is too lonely. This is lonesome beautiful country to explore.
Take FS road 6910 just east of the Nason Rest Stop 3 miles to the
Round Mtn trailhead at 3,300 ft. Bring plenty of water there is
very little after the snow melts. The trail will enter an old burn,
so this area can be very hot on a sunny day.
The cache was placed when there was 6 ft. of snow on the ground,
but is at an exposed rock outcropping, so should be accessable much
earlier in the year. There was a goat sleeping just below the cache
and I saw several on my way by earlier in the morning. There's a
Katrina Geocoin for FTF. The cache is hidden well, so look at the
spoiler pic. Enjoy the views!
Caution: wear good hiking boots and be careful at the rocky
dropoffs.
