Geocache Description:

The steady drone of the tires against the pavement was causing him to nod off. The Patsy Cline and Peggy Lee music that his wife loved wasn’t helping either. It all conspired to cause him to become so drowzzzzz…..

As the Patsy Cline song ended, the rhythmic thump of the tires against the expansion joints of Route 66 jerked him awake. The announcer on the radio was giving the weather…More hot, dry and windy. Typical western Oklahoma weather. Then a commercial came on.

“As you get your kicks on Route 66, stay with us at the 66 Travel Bug Motor Hotel” (Travel Bug? – now where had he heard that before.)

“Our spacious accommodations will fill all of your travel bug’s needs. Stay with us for a day, a week, a month. The choice is yours. Enjoy the Western Oklahoma hospitality. Just stop at the Geo-registration desk to sign-in.”

“With nearby access to Interstate 44 and US 283, your travel bug can easily go north, south, east or west.” (Interstate? What the heck was that? There were no Interstates in 1953!)

“Visit our Geo-gift Shoppe. It has a variety of Oklahoma souvenirs. You are welcome to trade any souvenirs from your own state.”

“Nearby there is fuel for the buggy and for the tummy.”

“As you enter our spacious off-road parking area, watch for the drive-by muggles. They don’t always appreciate our fine establishment.” (What’s Harry Potter doing in the 50’s?)

"Our new location includes amenities such as golf, swimming pool and for those tired of roughing it - a place to park your travel trailer. There is a fine view of the local red rock formation. Seasonal muggles may be a problem."

As Peggy Lee started to sing, once again he was awakened by the car slowing down to take the exit off the Interstate. Had it all been a dream or was there really a “66 Travel Bug Motor Hotel?” Now what were the coords for the next cache?
