Geocache Description:

     This cache is located on Kipp Island on Lake Wallenpaupack. Could be fairly difficult for some as a boat is necessary.

A boat is required for this cache. While swimming to the island is possible, I highly advise against this as there is much boat traffic during the swimming season. The container is a small tupperware style container. The cache is big enough for trade items, however, please keep them small. Use stealth whilst searching for this cache as there is much activity during the summer season. The island's hours are from sunset to sunrise, so it is unadvisable to attempt this one at night. Please rehide it exactly as you found it! The lake and its islands are owned and operated by PP&L. There is a free launch at N 41 27.527 W 75 11.330. If you launch your boat at another marina, park, etc., you will probably have to pay. Please only make posts that are relevant to finding or to the maintenance of this cache. All irrelevant/illegitimate posts will be deleted promptly in accordance with current written Geocaching policy. As always, please practice CITO and obey all boating laws!

The island is closed annually from January 1 until July 31 for nesting of Bald Eagles. It is a federal offense to be on the island at that time.
