Geocache Description:

Just off the AT along Rocky Roe Run (Rocky Row Run) within the George Washington National Forest near the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is an easy hike along the AT for the whole family

This is the first of several family friendly caches I hope to place. Although it is located on the AT the terrain is relatively flat, and is easy for kids. This part of the AT follows a nice mountain stream that is easily accessible from the trail. Parking is available along Amlite Road (Hercules Road). I would suggest parking near the AT crossing closest to 501 for a nice hike along the stream, or you can park where the AT crosses Amlite Road as it ascends to Fullers Rock. The cache is a small ammo can next to an old log.
