Amish Country Travel Bug Hotel Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Dalcrazy: WE have decided the best option for this cache is to archive it. We have had TB stolen out of the cache at it's present location. We are in the process of revising this and moving to a more desirable location. Watch for a new posting!!

Geocache Description:

This is located on the property of our amish neighbor with his permission. It is on level terrain. Very easy for all cachers.

This cache is a LARGE ammo box with plenty of room for trade items. The main purpose of this cache is a resting place for weary travel bugs and geocoins. We placed this cache to bring attention to the culture of the Amish poeple in our area. THERE ARE RULES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CACHE. Please respect the Amish way of life. They DO NOT WANT THEIR pictures taken!! This MUST be respected otherwise our cache will be archived. These neighbors are our friends and that was one of the stipulations in placing this cache on their land. The Miller's own the bake shop just west of the cache and they have wonderful Amish baked goods for sale each weekend and in the summer, they are open for business everyday except on Sunday. There are a number of Amish specialty shops in the area including basket shops, wrought iron works, greenhouses, and a toy shop just up the hill from the cache. The best shops, though, are the Amish quilt shops! There are several in the area including the Amish lady at the bakeshop. The Valley View Cheese Factory has many amish made products for sale and as a bonus, we are including the coords for the shop. No cache hidden there but lots to see. The coords for the cheese factory is N42 15.709 W 079 01.880 Hope you all have a great time enojying the countryside.
