Geocache Description:


This was one of 2 event caches placed during the 'Bout Time NELA Event (GCTEWA) that was held in Kiroli Park on March 18, 2006 hosted by the NELA Geocachers. Since all the guests seemed to enjoy this cache, it was left in place with original logbook, and finally submitted for a permanent cache approval.

We are going to allow all the event attendees who found the cache, to log it. This will be why you'll see found logs from March 18 and before it was published in May.

There are 4 more caches located in this great park. Sometimes there is a .50 fee per person to enter the park, but it is a small price to pay to enjoy this well maintained park. There are paved trails that circle the entire park. If you have children, then this is definitely the place to bring them. There are 2 caches here that are extremely kid friendly. This park has a lot of tree canopy, so expect some gps signal jump/drift. This possibly could add more of a difficulty level to your hunt. It is also in Louisiana, so be prepared for poison ivy, mosquitos, heat, etc.

This particular cache was placed by Bderan and LSUFan before the event. Jagermeister was out of town and didn't get to attend. We wanted to allow him the enjoyment of finding the two event caches at the park, so he could see what he missed. After he has his fun, then the plan is to transfer ownership of this cache to him.
