Geocache Description:


You are searching for an ammo can located along the Deer Run Trail, about a 3 mile round trip. Minor bushwhacking may be required at the cache site, please stay on designated trails until you reach the search area.

Cache is located at the Gator Creek Reserve , this property is located in the Green Swamp Area of Critical State Concern. Please sign in at the information board in the parking lot near the trailhead, and note that you're there to geocache. Polk County's Environmental Lands Program is receptive to caching. Signing in shows that you appreciate this. Please be respectful of this property, its vegetation & wildlife.

During the rainy season you can expect wet conditions and mosquitoes so don’t forget the insect repellent and bring plenty of water. You may need to create some type of log bridge to reach the cache when the area is wet. Be careful, enjoy the area and remember that there are always risks associated with visiting nature preserves. Make sure you grab a map of the area at the trailhead.
