Ja hoor ze bestaan echt wel , in de Dennendijkse bossen zullen ze U helpen
deze cache te vinden.
De route van ± 5 a 6 km voert U door de Dennendijkse bossen, dit is een geïntegreerd bosgebied.
Dat wil zeggen dat er bewust veel aandacht wordt besteed aan het creëren van
verschillende leefomgevingen voor verschillende dieren.
Zo worden in de rand van het bos meer bomen gekapt. Struiken en kruiden
krijgen zo de kans zich verder te ontwikkelen.
Dikke dode bomen worden niet weggehaald voor insecten.
Vlinders en reeën maken graag gebruik van open plekken in het bos
om op te warmen of te grazen.
Ook worden er poelen gegraven voor amfibieën en reptielen te helpen.

De Berkabouters zijn alleen thuis tussen zonsopkomst en zonsondergang , ze vinden het niet nodig dat jullie van de paden of weggetjes af gaan. Voor honden zijn ze alleen bang als ze niet aangelijnd zijn.

Je bent hier in de buurt van een rioolgemaal,die kun je vaak wel met je neus vinden.
(parkeer niet achter het gemaal i.v.m. inrit akker)

The Berkabouter

Yes, they really do excist. In the woods of Dennendijk, they will help you to find the cache.
You’ll walk about 5 km through the woods, it’s an integrated woodland scenery.
That means that people pay a lot of attention to create different states of livability for all kinds of animals.
On the edge of the wood they cut down more trees. So, the development of brushwood and spices is optimum. They don’t take away the large trees which are dead. Insects use them.
Butterflies and deer like to warm up or graze in the glades of the woods. Also, they dig pools to help amphibians and reptiles.

The Berkabouters are at home between sunrise and sunset. They think it’s not necessary to leave the paths. They get scared if you don’t use the dog’s lead.

Park your car at: N 51º 24.045'- E005º 49.045'

Here, you’re right in the neighbourhood of a gutter press.(rioolgemaal) You probably can smell it. Don’t park behind the gutter press, because of the entrance of the fields.
