Main Street Nano Tour Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

vineyard20: After 11 years and over 500 visits I guess it's time to close this one down. It will open up spots for as many as 4 new caches, and I look forward to seeing other people's ideas for these locations. Happy Caching....

Geocache Description:

This 4 stage multi was inspired by a series I recently did in Iowa. The containers intrigued me, and I felt this area of St. Charles would be a good setting for my version.

The first 3 stages all use identical tiny nano sized containers, with only enough room for a small scroll giving the location of the next stage. The final cache is a small plastic container about the size of a bar of bath soap that you might pack in your luggage - I'll be darned, that is exactly what it is! Instead of soap, it contains a log, a stubby pencil, and some caching trinkets collected along the way.

Please be careful not to drop the containers, and return them to their original positions.

Extra clues:

Stage 1: - hidden in plain sight, plus is your shoe lace untied?

Stage 2: - in plain sight if you lean a bit, plus where the new meets the old

Stage 3: - look at the south one

Stage 4: - third

This series will take you the entire length of Main Street. You will see a relic from the early 1800's, an early industrial site that is now a busy eatery, several blocks of interesting one-of-a-kind shops, entertainment spots, and near the final stop, you can see the creative rebirth of an old foundry. If you see a brass plaque at one of the locations, take the time to loiter about and read it, as it will be very close to the actual cache container. If you enjoy walking, the entire series involves a 2.1 mile roundtrip that might take an hour or so, but if you wish to drive it, there is parking near each location.

Enjoy!!
