Geocache Description:

Small wild dog of eastern Asia having facial markings like those of a raccoon, it is often confused with raccoons and its closest living relative appears to be foxes. Cache is not located at the above coordinates...

-----Back story-----

While reppelling down into a canyon, I heard a LOUD noise to my left in a bush. The first thought I had was that I spooked the local wildlife. Mountain lion? Deer? Coyote? Bear? Raccoon? Fox? Very LARGE rabbit? Didn't see a thing as it bolted away and was gone. I asked my wife if she had seen anything, and she said that she thought it was yet another falling rock and I wondered why no one had called out "ROCK". Didn't feel like another rock to me...

Once we had reached the deck and were coiling the ropes, we saw an older gentleman sitting in the shade of a tree, and appeared to be meditating.

We approached him and offered up a greeting. He asked if we had anything to drink, and offered to pay us well for our supplies. He said someone had left a container for him up there filled with supplies, but he couldn't find it as he only had a paper with directions, a map and a compass with no other way to find it. We offered up some of our water and he in return gave us his paper with the directions as a trade. As he parted, he was singing a song softly:

Tan Tan Tanuki no "GEO COIN"
Kaze mo nai no ni
Bura bura bura

and as he disappeared into the distance, we noticed the writing on the paper now looked very strange...

-----Copy of the writing from the paper-----
