Geocache Description:

Dun Caan is the highest point on the Isle of Raasay, appearing to be a "volcano", which can be clearly seen from all around the surrounding areas. There are various approaches to Dun Caan with the two main ones being from the Raasay ferry terminal up the disused railway and follow Inverarish burn towards Dun Caan. The other way is a road walk/drive to the "path" from Balmeanach.
Both have a steep last 10 minutes to the summit and when you get to the summit,EXTREME CARE has to be taken especially with young ones and pets as there is a vertical drop only 4 foot from the trig point.Views from here are spectacular 360deg around, so take your camera.
After finding this one a visit to the "Dolphin Cafe" in Raasay House is a must as they sell great cakes, coffee or maybe a beer to quench the thirst! They can run people to ferries or just give you local information.
