On August 12, 2006, we invite you to the New York
Geocaching Organization's (NYGO) 4th Annual Picnic being held at
Fair Haven State Park. The park is located 10 miles West of Oswego,
NY in Cayuga County.
Fair Haven Beach
State Park is on the shore of Lake Ontario. This park
is in the Town of Sterling in Cayuga County, New York. The park is
northeast of the Village of Fair Haven on the east side of Little
Sodus Bay.
Fair Haven Beach State
Park has one of the finest public lakefronts in upstate New
York, with high bluffs above sandy beaches and hilly
woodlands. Inland, there is Sterling Pond, surrounded by
campsites and cabins. The swimming and fishing are excellent.
Rowboats, paddleboats and canoes are for rent and the park
has a boat launch and a recreation building.

Consider
coming for the event, and staying for the weekend at this
camper's paradise. There are resturants in town for a
Saturday/Sunday morning breakfast.
If you prefer hotel or Bed & Breakfast type accommodations, the
following links may be helpful:
This will be an action-packed, activity-filled extravaganza! There
will be raffles with prizes, games, activities for the kids, event
caches, and as always - lots of food!
