Geocache Description:

Letter -F- in the "Cabin Fever" sries

This is one of 26 in a A-Z cabin series.Check the listing for "Cabin Fever" (GCW8G8)for more info on the series

It really makes me wonder what they were thinking when they built this cabin so close to Sherman Creek. When the spring thaw comes down its a raging river and this Cabin is surounded by water.Notice the large tree that fell on top of the Cabin. They built it really sturdy to withstand suck a big tree falling on it and not smashing it.The large tree that fell across the creek toward the cabin was cut down by a beaver.Be cautious of the beaver in the area.If you look north from the cache you will see that the beaver has started to fall another large tree.It was only half done when we placed this cache.

To get there follow hwy 20 west toward Republic.Park at Crowden Camp-Little America and walk west along the Hwy.You will see the Cabin across the creek.

You will need to find a game trail or do somme bushwacking to get from the hwy to the cache site. You do not have to cross the creek to find the cache.

The container is small with logbook and some trade items that start with -G- but this is not a theme cache so trade as you want.
