This cache is located in Pocahontas State Park. Please note the
following:
- Parking for the final cache is at the Smith Forest Trail
Parking area (waypoint below)
- Normal parking fees for the park apply
- The cache requires a 0.8 mile roundtrip from the parking area
to the cache and back
- The cache is located in a designated hunting area. Blaze orange
is required during hunting season.
There are several old family cemeteries actually located within
the confines of Pocahontas State Park. Dale Memorial Park, however,
is a private facility nestled in and completely surrounded by the
park.
The cache is not located within this beautiful area but cachers
will need to visit the site of the posted coordinates to obtain the
location of the final cache which is just off the nearby Smith
Forest Trail.
To locate the cache, visit the memorial area and locate the
sword in the anvil. On that monument is a biblical chapter (C) and
a verse (V). To locate the final cache location, do the following.
To the final three numbers of the posted north coordinates add (10
* C * V) – (C + V + V) To the final three numbers of the posted
west coordinates add 5 * C * V * V
