Geocache Description:

Easy Multi but follow the directions!

In 1887 the Delaware and Hudson Railroad extended their rail line from Onchiota Station into Saranac Lake. This line started in Plattsburgh in 1878 and over the next nine years was carved through Morrisonville, Cadyville, Dannemora, Lyon Mountain, Inman (Loon Lake), Onchiota, Bloomingdale and finally to Saranac Lake. In 1892, the same year the New York Central reached Saranac Lake, the line was extended to Lake Placid. Bloomingdale Freight House was built in 1887 and the Station House was completed in 1888. This Station served Passengers until the line was abandoned in 1946. In 1947 The Station House was moved about a mile and a half into the Village of Bloomingdale and converted into a Episcopal Church.

The first leg of this multi will bring you to where it is now and the final is placed where it was.

The listed coordinates will bring you to the Church. To find the final, stand at the bottom of the front steps/stairs and face south. Count the number of steps/stairs directly in front of you. (Do not include any steps across a road.) Multiply this number by 120. Add this number to 822 to find the NDM. Subtract this number from 239 to find the WDM.

The cache is located at the coordinates:
N44* 24.NDM
W074*07.WDM
