Geocache Description:

Number eleven in a series of micro's hidden in scenic and/or historic places around Western New York. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT LOSE THE ORING ON THE CONTAINER. THIS IS WHAT KEEPS IT WATERPROOF.


Amherst Museum is a local jewel located in the Town of Amherst rich in local history. Experience 19th-century life on the Niagara Frontier and tour historic homes, churches and one-room schoolhouses on beautiful 35-acre grounds with exhibits on local history, textiles, art and the Erie Canal. Although you DO NOT NEED TO ENTER THE MUSEUM TO FIND THE CACHE the museum is open Tuesday - Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. year round and Saturday - Sunday, 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. from Mid April through October. Please see www.amherstmuseum.org for more details. Cache is accessible from outside the gate and is a small micro. Please do not remove the cache from it's spot, simply open in to remove the log.
