Williamson Park Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Bearpaw: The time has come to end the series in this park. I am handing the torch to another excited cacher. The park has done so much for us in the past. First come first serve. Enjoy and thanks for the long haul!

Geocache Description:

WILLIAMSON PARK CACHE

BY BEARPAW -N- BEARCUB

LATEST UPDATE: 4-23-2015

IMPORTANT!!!! ACCESS TO THIS CACHE SHOULD BE MADE FROM THE EDDY ROAD SIDE OF THE PARK. DO NOT ACCESS CACHE FROM THE MAIN ST. SIDE AS THERE IS PRIVATE PROPERTY THERE AND NO RIGHT OF WAY INTO THE PARK. SOME GPS's SHOW A ROAD GOING THROUGH THE PARK. THIS IS INACCURATE. THAT WAS AN ACCESS ROAD WHEN THE PARK WAS ONCE A FARM. THE ROAD NO LONGER EXISTS. THANK YOU!

This challenging winter accessible cache is in a wonderful park for families, & friends to have fun & play. There’s a pond stocked with bluegill, a playground for the kids to play in, and nature-trails for those you like to walk or bike. BUG REPELLENT IS A MUST in the summer months & on the days that the rain has fallen, a pair of boots MIGHT come in handy just in case. Make a day out of it perhaps. Bring a picnic basket, fishing poles, even a tent for camping as the Cub Scouts camp here on many occasions.

The cache is a 20mm ammo box and is located inside the park.  The immediate area can sometimes get watery after a soaking rain although the cache is still accessible. I bring my son [Bearcub] here all the time. Once we were fishing in the pond and he caught 13 bluegill and the one that got away was the biggest I had ever seen.  It was almost a foot long! No lie!  Have fun...

And while you’re in the area, try finding our other hides "Williamson Cash-n-Dash" (GC238M4), "Williamson-Micro" (GCK8TZ), "Troll-Bridge Micro" (GCJGXX), and "Bark Up A Tree Cache!" (GCQ425).
