Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the village of Vancoughnet on the Black River. Drive through the village before or after finding the cache and view the St. Stephens Anglican Church at ( N44 59.249, W 079 03.221 ) dating to ~1890, and the Village Park with its stone cairn at ( N44 59.227 W 079 03.428 )
Near the falls you can see iron hooks in the rocks that are remnants of the days when the river was used to float logs to the mills.
The Cache is a small camo covered lock tite container with the usual swag.
For a collector of local memorabilia I have included a small bowling record book from the years 1960-1961 for the Bracebridge Bowling and Snack Bar.
There is also a ‘Where’s George Dollar’.
There is only room for trade small items and travel bugs.
Enjoy the area.
