Geocache Description:

An easy half-mile circular walk from the centre of Barwick in-Elmet.

This cache is situated on a public footpath around the village’s best-kept secret – an iron-age hill fort. Wendel Hill hill fort is over 2,000 years old and there are impressive views from the footpath, which at times is actually on the earthworks.

There are a few places to join the footpath; probably the best way round is from the car park of the Black Swan pub, which is a good spot for a drink afterwards!
