Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in the USGS Davis Quadrangle in California. It is the seventh in an intermittent series of caches that we are placing near the site for which a USGS 7.5'x7.5' quadrangle map is named. This cache is 0.42 miles from the center of the quadrangle and 3.37 miles from the center of town.

Davis, the namesake for this quadrangle is a growing, whether it wants to or not, city in Yolo County, California. The City is home to the University of California, Davis. The University, however, is located, mostly, in the Merritt Quadrangle.

This quadrangle-cache project was launched as a result of the Locationless Cache Fill in the Blanks (GC5A04). In our previous quadrangle placements we have tried for “underserved” areas. Now, we are placing caches in the quadrangles near our home.

The Davis Quadrangle boundaries are:
N 38º 30’ 00” and N 38 37’ 30”
W 121º 37’ 30” and W 121º 45’ 00”
