This cache is located near the old Goodman Sawmill site. The
sawmill was in operation from 1924 - 1943. Not much is left today
but some hard to recognize stone foundations and signs indicating
where the buildings once stood.
This site is located on the Vernon/McNary road, which is a very well maintained dirt road. But as always ... use your own judgment during wet or winter conditions. The road is a lot smoother if you approach it from the Vernon side.
You should not have to cross the barbed wire fence to find this cache. If you park at the informational sign, you should have a fenceless path right to the cache.
This area has recently been cleared and burned. I would suggest you not wear you new white tennis shoes to find this cache!
