*gln: ARCHIVING ABANDONED CACHE

Greetings TheMadChef,

Looks like our timing is off and It’s time to say goodbye to this cache.

Since I haven't any maintenance here in a very long time, I am going to assume that your priorities have changed and you’ve gone in a different direction.

Archiving due to lack of maintenance is permanent.
CACHE ARCHIVAL IS PERMANENT.

Let me know if I can be of assistance in the future.

Thanks a MILLION for all you have done, Glenn

Geocache Description:

This cache was placed on Memorial Day 2006 and is to honor all of the fallen soldiers from my hometown! It is located in Seibert Park in Manchester, Mo and is only a short distance (less than 300ft) from parking. It is slightly larger than a small container but only room for small trade items. There are a couple of items for the kids and a couple for the adults (or the kid in them)!

This cache was placed to remember one of my former classmates and I.T.S members Jacob R. Fleischer who was killed November 24, 2004 in Operation Enduring Freedom. He served with the U.S. Army, 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Light) and was killed by a makeshift bomb in Deh Rawod, Afghanistan.

At the following coordinates N 38 35.574 W 090 31.183 you will find a memorial for all of Manchester's heroes. Make sure to take time to honor them by saluting the flag!

If you walk past the cache area at the end of the clearing you will find a hand dug cave from the 1850's it was used as a storage place for a local brewery company that burnt down in the 1870's. The park was donated to the City of Manchester in 1979 by Mr. George Seibert!
