Geocache Description:

Welcome to McCall Dam State Park. You will be traveling a small grass and dirt trail that parallels White Deer Creek. The cache is located in the old group campground. You are looking for an ammo container. Though this park is not heavily used, fisherman and other muggles will walk right past this cache and so to ensure that it doesn't go missing, it is really important that you hide this cache exactly as you find it and walk around at all angles to make sure it is not visible.

HISTORY A small tranquil state park nestled amongst the Bald Eagle State Forest. A dam was built in 1850 by Johnny McCall on the stream to power his saw and shingle mills. Then sixteen years later the dam was converted to a series of splash dams to float pine logs down the stream to the Susquehanna River where they would continue downstream to Watsontown.
