Bootikka: The undergrowth along this part of the Cuckoo Trail has been cut back to practically nothing so, I am sorry, "Cuckoo at Horam" will not be returning any time soon.

The Cuckoo at Horam cache lies alongside the Cuckoo Trail somewhere between Horam and Maynards Green. The Cuckoo Trail is a well-kept cycle and bridle path along the track of an old railway, between Heathfield and Polgate in East Sussex. There is free parking at N50 56.073 E000 14.675 and N50 58.112 E000 15.133.
The cache is a one-litre food container, holding a logbook and pen, 1st and 2nd to find certificates and a small selection of swapsies. On hiding these were: a world cup wall chart, 3 bundles of hairbands, mini highlighter pen, 2 mini pens, a temporary tattoo and some alphabet magnets (our initials).
You can get to the cache by going down the bank; there is an obvious way down nearby, and also the remains of steps, or, for an easier life, take the lower path south of Hendalls Farm Bridge, past the BMX ramps. It can get muddy.
This is our first cache, so we hope you enjoy it!
