The Collector Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Blue Power Ranger: Dang. Sounds like this is really gone. Shouldn't be hard to find at all. Since my work no longer takes me to the area on a regular basis, it might just be time to let it go.

Thanks to all who found this cache!

Geocache Description:

As a child, I used to enjoy going to an occasional ball game early to try to collect the autographs of the game's stars.
Collecting thise autographs used to be easy. It was seen as a child's activity up to only a few decades ago. The boom of collecting autographs as a hobby came during the 1980's, and, as a consequence, many memorabilia dealers took notice. What used to be an innocent hobby lost that innocence as both dealers and celebrities began to charge money for their signatures.
Unfortunately because of the enormous demand and dollars involved, I thought that my children would likely never get a chance to have a celebrity provide them with an autograph... until now.
The purpose of this cache is to collect the caching-name signatures of you, the local "celebrity" cachers! The cache you will find is pictured at left. Rather than a typical cache where you just sign the logbook, I would like you to go ahead and sign and date the cache itself.
The cache has been painted in white primer so there shouldn't be any problem in writing on it. There is a bag of permanent markers in the cache that you can use to sign. Those are not trade items so please don't take them. Typical trading is welcome in this cache.
I understand that we live in a damp area and that writing on the outside of the cache won't always be practical. For that purpose, the inside lid has also been painted white. Feel free to autograph there in the rain if necessary. I will also include a standard logbook for you to sign just to keep things official. Please leave non-outdoor stickers off the outside of the cache container but feel free to attach them anywhere inside.
NO BUSHWHACKING REQUIRED!
When I hid this cache, I took the time to stop and enjoy the wildlife. I found a very neat viewing area where in just a few minutes, I saw mamals, interesting birds and dozens of very large frogs sunning themselves. If you come around noon on a weekday you will also see several large Boeing engineers sunning themselves. I have added this viewing location as a second waypoint although it is not necessary to find the cache. I think you will be pleased if you take the time to visit.
Please re-hide very well as obviously this cache has very poor camoflage!

Congratulations Johnny Boy and DB Cooper - FTF!
