Saturday May 12 2007 … A Prelude to Summer BBQ #2
Calling all Cachers! Grab your TB’s & Geocoins and head out to, A Prelude to Summer BBQ #2. Bring your Tall Tales, and Share your Geocaching Adventures with other Cachers. The More the Merrier! Last year was such a success that I have decided to attempt a bigger and better bash this year!
This will be a Fun day of Caching, followed by some good BBQ and Socializing around the campfire.
Location…. Ponderosa Pines Campground Hopewell Cape N.B.
In Good Old Albert County!
If you are coming from out of town and plan to make a weekend out of it, you can click on user's web page link, near the top of this page. This will give you information on the local area and a list of local accommodations.(Just in case you are not into camping.) If you want to stay in Moncton, The event site is only about 30km from town.
There will be plenty of new caches, placed along the route and around the area, prior to the event. Coordinates for these will be posted on the morning of May 10th
The same as last year, I have rented the cottage for the day, so there will be bathroom facilities and running water available. The area is secluded so we won’t have to worry about the noise we make. There is a large deck and picnic tables in the yard.(there will be more tables this year)
The park is not fully open this early in the season, but if anyone wants to camp overnight, it's not a problem.
I will be at the cottage starting at 1100hrs preparing for the evening BBQ…… Anyone can drop by from 1300hrs onward.
(Put your Beer in the fridge etc.)
Canoe's will be available once again this year in case anyone would like to paddle around the lake.
Geogames will begin at 1400hrs
There will be demo caches(for prizes)placed within the park
The meal will start around 1700hrs
There will be loads of food same as last year but if you wish to bring something that's OK too.
There will be a BBQ on site as well as a stove in the kitchen.
I will supply Pop, water & juice
otherwise it is BYOB
