This cache can easily be done on foot or by bicycle if you like (Note that the Mud Creek Acqueduct over which part of the Canal Trail passes is currently closed.) You will cover 10 to 12 kilometers (6 or 7 miles) round trip.
The posted coordinates are for parking in Aqueduct County Park. There is no physical cache at this location. Instead you will need to search for the answers to the following two questions:
A - In what year did the Canal Board adopt Squire Whipple's plan for the Aldrich Change Bridge?
B - In what year did the Phoenix Bridge Company build the access bridge for Lock 29?
Next you will need to calculate "C" and "D", using the answers to "A" and "B" you found above:
A - 1648 = C
B - 994 = D
Substitute "C" and "D" in the coordinate format below to find the first physical hide.
N 43 4.C W 77 16.D
You will then need to search for a magnetic key case at the above coordinates.
The final is not too difficult to find, however you will have to bushwack for a short distance.
Congratulations to Chilehead and 1/6 of the Peppermill 6-Pack on getting FTF and the FTF prize of a small first aid kit that can be carried on your belt.
