Geocache Description:

Margery Hill is 546 metres high and now has its own cache. For some time this was the uncontested highest cache in South Yorkshire. However, a nearby pretender (GCXHTZ) has staked a claim - you decide!

The cache is hidden about 70 metres southeast of the trig point under a rocky outcrop.

Originally, this was a devilishly intriguing puzzle cache that used a word padlock. However, some selfish person decided to break the box open at the hinges, so I'm afraid it is now just a traditional cache.

Whilst you are up here please visit the nearby cache GCXHTZ. One of these is the highest in South Yorkshire and only you can decide this clash of the titans. I came up here on 9 August 2006 and got the same elevation reading (1803ft) for both caches. Please post your readings and help settle this feud before it gets out of hand!
