A small cache (Vitamin Bottle)located near a promontory point off of Lake Mary Road overlooking Mormon Lake. Bring a pen or pencil.
This scenic overlook has great views of the lake (when not dried up), the San Francisco Peaks, and the surrounding Coconino National Forest.
From November to April you may be lucky to spot a few Bald Eagles which winter here.
Park at N 34 57.778, W 111 26.294, there's a pull-off there and a sign posted explaining the eagle's migratory patterns.
