Geocache Description:

The Land Of The Lost

ATTENTION: DECEMBER 30th 2007- I have placed a brand new container with a new Darkmoon Stealth Paintjob called Dino-hide filled with all new swag and logbook. I upped the terrain and difficulty because after the ice storm, it is much harder to get there. Don't be afraid of water, slippery log crossings and a ton of green briars. You will earn this smiley!

Darkmoon and Spearfox On a routine expedition
Met the greatest earthquake ever known
High on the rapids It struck their tiny raft
And plunged them down a thousand feet below
To the Land of the Lost
To the Land of the Lost
To the Land of the Lost

While out on a caching trip and doing a nearby cache, we, meaning Darkmoon and Spearfox, saw this thick wooded tree belt and just had to do some exploring. So grabbing our packs out of the truck we started down the trecherous steep side. Next thing we knew, there was an earthquake and down we went, in a mixture of rocks, crud and mud till we hit the creek. Fighting the rapids and the swift water, we went over the falls into the lake. That is were we ended up after swimming to shore and decided to hide our cache in case we couldn't make it pass the dinosaurs we saw, the sleezstak that was after us and the small ape boy named Chaka!

Be warned fellow cachers, if you decide to take this cache on, you will be on an adventure that you soon won't forget. There is no easy way in, no marked trail or path, no overgrown road, this was a bushwhack beyond all bushwacks. Thick forests and overgrown woods, poison ivy everywhere, some head high. Lots of entanglement and briars, all reaching out to grab and pull you down. Creeks and swamps, marshes and bogs depending on the time and weather will get you wet. Wild animals are in there from the small ticks to larger bigger predators, rabid racoons, kamikazee squirrels, attack opposums. You are looking for a 50 caliber ammmo can done up in a classic Darkmoon Stealth Paintjob and hidden very well, filled with treasures and other worldly things. Please put it back how you find it, if you can find it. The canopy overhead is thick and hard to get a good reading. And please do not tresspass anywhere, there is parking in the big empty lot! So good luck fellow adventurers!

Spearfox
