The "Tree of LIFE" cache is an ammo can located along the Auburndale Trail. There is limited parking at the intersection with Braddock Road and the cache is just a short hike away. For better parking and facilities, use Lake Myrtle Park (at the new soccer fields). The hike will be a bit longer, but it is an easy hike. The kids (and adults) may want stop to play at the fitness playground for a bit. The trail is paved, which makes "Tree of Life" wheelchair accessible to within 20 feet of the cache. You can see the cache without leaving the trail ( if you are in just the right spot and look just so...), but you will have to leave the trail to retrieve it. This is an easy cache to find. Once you are within range, you will know exactly where to look. At times, it may not be easily accessible to retrieve this cache due to high water. Feel free to mark this as "found" if that is the case. After all you can see it from the path if you look just so... Please, if you are able, come back at another time and sign the log. Update 12/20/2020 - The "high water" that was occasionally experienced when this cash was first placed seems to be a more common trend in recent years. The ammo can cash container has been replaced by a smaller canister and is located nearby within 20 feet of the "tree of life". It is easily accessible and easy to find. No need for hip waders. When the water recedes, the ammo can will be returned to the original location. Happy Hunting!
