The Silo Traditional Cache
Pop-n-Drop: Well, I have to archive this cache even though it absolutely rocks. I have lost contact with the folks that were maintaining it because they have returned home. I am unable to recover the Travel Bugs and I don't think that after 2 years, anyone will stumble upon them anyway. I apologize for the lost TB's and for the loss of a super sweet cache.

Located on a coalition controlled forward operating base. Credentials are required for free movement throughout the FOB. Easy catch while making a pit stop at FOB Brassfield-Mora
The cache is located on what the local Iraqis call the SILO. It is now FOB Brassfield-Mora, but it retains all the same charm as a grain silo because that is exactly what it was. The Silo was constructed after Desert Storm and was presumably used up Operation Iraqi Freedom. You will notice on your drive or after you land that the base is basically made up of 200 foot long and 60 foot wide concrete bunkers. These were used to store truckloads of grain for future distribution. The coalition forces use them for living quarters because the concrete walls are the right height and thickness to protect them from indirect fire.
When the coalition occupied the site, it still has, and still does have, grain stored here. Though the coalition forces do use the grain, the rats and birds just love the stuff. In fact, if you get the chance to hang around for a bit, you will see the thousands of birds flocking and flying around the compound and the hordes of cats and other vermin trying to eat them. It’s amazing where a person can learn to live if they don’t have any other choice.
The cache is an ammo can with some trinkets and a log book inside. The cache is large enough to place the travel bugs you brought from the states inside. Just think of the miles they could rack up in Iraq. This cache is located near “FOB Brassfield-Mora’s First Cache” so go get that one as well. Good luck.
