Calling all Red River Cachers, let's meet and greet and have a grand old time.

August 19th
Here’s your chance to meet some of your fellow cachers from the area. You’ve seen their caching names on the logs of area caches. You may have even found some of their caches. Here your chance to meet them face to face, share few stories and a few laughs.
Whether you have been caching for years or you’ve never been caching before, stop in and enjoy a summer afternoon of caching fun. We would also like for you to invite any friends that might be interested in caching.
We will meet at shelter #1 in University at 4:30 pm on the August 19th. Bring a picnic lunch For yourself and a dessert to share. We will provide plates and tableware. Also don’t forget your GPSr. We will have a team cache hunt event later in the evening. Bring your lawn chairs, Frisbees, and whatever else you want for a day in the park. There is a splash park next to the shelter and a play area nearby for the young cachers. Oh, and don’t forget the bug spray.
If you have any TBs or Coins that you would like to add to the event, please feel free to do so.
It’s our hope that we can get a group together so that events like this will be a regular thing and to encourage Geocaching in this area. If you can help with this event or would like to discuss the forming of a club for the region, please contact us, we could use the help and thanks in advance.
We have two unactivated TB's and an unactivated geocoin that will be given as prizes. There will also some camo'd cache container with lables to give away. Just add swag and hide. We also have a very special patch from a cacher in Iraq that will be given away. Keep checking back from time to time, as we hope to add even more goodies to the prize pool.
If you plan to attend, please log a note on this cache so we can get a rough count of the number of people attending. We hope to see you there.
