This peak will give you a spectacular view of the Jotunheimen
and Rondane mountain ranges. From here you will have direct
eyesight to more than 20 of the 2000+ meter peaks of Norway,
including all three peaks above 2400 meters (Galdhøpiggen,
Glittertind and Store Skagastølstind). On a clear day you can see
all the way south to Gaustadtoppen and north to Snøhetta.
The cache is located on the ground, and access during the winter
might be difficult - though not impossible.
Access can be made from either the Espedalen or Fefor side of
the mountain.
If approaching from the Espedalen side, you can drive up the
Peer Gynt road from Dalseter and park in front of the toll gate at
N61 28.133 E09 28.219. In the winter use the parking place between
Dalseter and Ruten fjellstue (N61 28.229 E09 27.290).
The ascent from the Espedalen side should take between one and
two and a half hours, depending on physical ability and time of
year. The descent will take significantly shorter time (especially
in the winter).
