Rabbitto: With no finds in a fair while and a while again before we can get back up there, we are letting this one rest. A good run for 11 years.

This is the eighth of a series of caches located in the Riverland designed to highlight some of the places that are worth a visit and our recollections of time spent there.
The Kingston Bridge and associated causeway was opened in February 1973. Prior to this, the river crossing was via ferry a few hundred metres downstream. To see the old ferry crossing, either travel back to the town of Kingston or cross the bridge and turn left a little way down the causeway. The bridge has cut travel times on the Sturt highway, especially at the times of high river. You can see the old road as you travel along the causeway and the river only has to come up a couple of feet to put the old road underwater.
This is the second of two caches we have placed today to mark Rabbitto's 25th wedding Anniversary. For Rabbitto, this bridge holds a very special place in our hearts as our wedding night was spent in the Kingston Bridge Motel just across the highway. The motel has since been converted into a backpackers accomodation.
The cache is located at a lookout with great views of the bridge and the river.
