Geocache Description:

This is an offset cache that starts at the Brooks Cabin. The Brooks Cabin was built near English, Indiana, on the Little Blue River around 1890 by John S. Brooks. The U.S. Forest Service acquired the cabin when it purchased the surrounding land in 1992. It was decided to move it near Lake Monroe to serve as an information center for the Charles C. Deam Wilderness. Each log of the cabin was tagged and each stone of the fireplace was numbered, the cabin was taken down, moved and then reassembled according to the tags and numbers.

The cache is not on or in the cabin, but is located a short distance away. If the entrance gate is closed to vehicles, the cabin is about 400 feet beyond it on the gravel road. This is a very scenic area. Take a little time to enjoy all of it.

The offset is located at N39°00.9A, W86°24.0B.
A = total number of windows in the cabin times 2 minus 10
B = number of rows of logs on the chimney side times 3 plus 8
