Finally, a nice large ammo can in an urban setting. Enough micros already. I have moved this to a more secure location a couple hundred feet away. This should be more muggle proof. Anyone who has been here before can log another find of this new location.
The purpose of this cache, besides the hunt, is to introduce people to this little known park on the paved Freeway Trail that is known and used mostly by bicycle commuters. It goes along I-5 from the Martin Way Park-n-Ride to the State Capitol campus, a distance of about 5 miles.
There is a closer approach but my suggested route will take you on an easy, 0.4 mile one way, walk/ride on this paved trail.
Directions:
Park at N 47 - 02.667, W 122 - 50.333 which is on an obscure, discontinuous section of the popular Chehalis - Western Trail. Turn right, go 300 feet and turn right onto the Freeway Trail. At a fork in the trail, take the low route. Then you are almost there.
The park has grass for frisbees, 2 park benches, one picnic table, 3 garbage cans and nearby fast food. If the wind is right, you can enjoy the aroma of Ronald's fries.
