Summer Vacation to Ireland Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

onecrazycanadian: Hi,

I am archiving this cache due to lack of owner maintenance as requested in my last log. This will remove it from the list until the maintenance is done. If the maintenance is completed and the cache restored I can take another look at it and possibly unarchive the cache.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me thru my profile.

Thanks

Geocache Description:

Our dear friends George and Judy have gone on vacation again this summer, this time to Ireland. They didn't have enough postage to mail all the postcards individually, so they left them all in one container for everyone to retrieve on their own. Don't forget your suitcase while you embark on the trip to this country!

Each postcard has a random point value, just like the suitcases and postcards from Belgium and China. The first to find may not get the most points. There is a twist with this Vacation though. One postcard has been randomly designated with 50 bonus points. We will not post which postcard has the bonus points until all the postcards have been taken.

When you log this cache, please also log the postal code found on your postcard. That is how the postcards are being tracked.

This container is well hidden and it may take a bit of searching the area to find it. Coordinates were taken about 3 meters from the actual site because reception and accuracy dropped. This does not mean you have to go inside.

(Fun information : MB Country brother and I had a good laugh one year at Folklorama outside the Irish pavilion. He commented how easy it would be to beat the “Fighting Irish” with their fists up (as shown in the background picture) by simply pushing on their elbows causing them to punch themselves. We thought it was hilarious at the time.)
