Gosh, I
heard a couple of months ago that Alan was leaving us, and I
thought, HOW COULD HE POSSIBLY THINK OF LEAVING
AUSTIN??? Well, one look at his face when he tells you he
is marrying his old high school flame, and you know he is so
besotted that he could NEVER be talked out of it! He's even
changed his profile page to Weatherford already.
ABSOLUTELY, we will miss him! Another of our
fountains of off-the-wall humor and impossible geekiness bites the
dust. (Speaking of which, has anyone heard any news about the
lowracer baby lately??) So anyhow, let's get together Monday
the 19th at Rudy's Country Store and BBQ (the Research/183
location) to reminisce about caches inside bloody dismembered
hands, geeky discussions about foreign languages such as GPSBabel,
and the like, and let Alan know that he is welcome back to Austin
ANY TIME!
The plan is
for 6:30 p.m. Bring all your friends and family! Just look for the
wierdest group in the place and you'll likely have found
us!
Somehow, I
screwed up the coords for the event ... they are actually more like
N30 24.862 W97 44.786. I've asked our generous and tolerant cache
reviewer to fix them for me!
