The first in the Greater Melbourne Traffic Islands series.
This is the first in a series to be called the "Greater Melbourne Traffic Islands" (GMTI) series, placed on those "wasted" plots of land around which vehicles travel; some of which can be quite large, or interesting in other ways.
Of course, be careful crossing lanes of traffic!
This cache is a 2 litre sistema container, should be easy to find after a climb up the small hill created in this circular traffic island. No need to trample any plants to find it. The cache can be reached from open ground beside an uplight and is hidden very close to the edge of the plantings. The hint is very specific to avoid what could be a frustrating needle-in-a-haystack seach among the lomandra grass. The attractions of the cache are supposed to be the location and the large container size, not the search!
The landscaping and planting here is quite interesting, as are the views of the surrounds.
Enter from Sturt St, where you can park or catch a number 1 tram.
