The Beam Valley Country Park
The area known as the Beam Valley is a 74 Hectare piece of land running from the A1306 by the Ford Motor Company, in the South East of the Borough of Barking & Dagenham, North along the River Beam up to the C2C railway line adjacent to Eastbrookend Country Park
The land is a mixture of woodlands, acid grassland, ponds and marsh areas. It also includes a variety of historical features e.g. tank traps, pillboxes and a section of the old Romford Canal.
Neglected for many years, the Beam Valley is still a haven for many types of wildlife.
This trail has been setout to commerorate the start of the World Cup 2006 in support of the England football team. Each cache includes an item which will allow the user to show their support for the England Football Team, as well as other swaps.
This trail consist of four caches which all hold the decipherer co-ordinates which will need to be collected along the way in order to find the Final cache!
The fifth and final cache which is full of items to support the England team!
All the caches have been placed on or close to well established paths which should be accessable regardless of the weather!
Although this area has nothing to do with the world cup or football it is still a pleasant park frequented by dog walkers and enjoyed by the local residents.
During early evening this park comes alive with wild rabbits everywhere the kids will love it!
Park at: N51 32.566 E000 10.723 and follow the path.
You are looking for a clear square plastic container.
If you cross the railway bridge to Eastbrookend Country Park (N51 32.775 E000 10.760) you will find another trail of caches I set earlier this year.
