Geocache Description:

Motorway Mayhem caches are close to motorway junctions, so you can break up a long journey with a quick cache-and-dash.  Estimated time from M3/cache/M3 is around 10 minutes

Pathetic motorways? Not this one...

Parking by the lay-by... and cache!

The cache is situated very close to the very pretty St.John's church in Windlesham, about a mile from the M3 junction at Lightwater.

The earliest mention of the Parish of Windlesham was in the time of Edward the Confessor (1042-1066).  A brief history of the church can be found on the Windlesham Church website. Apart from Sunday mornings, you should be able to park within a few feet of the cache, and if you have long arms...

You are looking for a film canister, containing a logbook (please bring your own pen/cil.  It is not in the grounds of the church or the graveyard. You will pass a nice looking public house a few hundred yards up the road (good food!).

Important - there is no right turn off the A322 into Windlesham.  From the M3, head north toward Bracknell, keeping in the nearside lane. Turn left at the first set of  lights, up to the roundabout and do a 360°, crossing back over the A322. Fortunately it's a lot simpler getting back to the motorway...

Good luck!
