Geocache Description:

About 18 months ago a new cacher arrived on the local scene. Txnurse97 she called herself. She embraced geocaching with great enthusiasm: 24 caches found in her first month of participation. Mansfield and Arlington cachers in search of the ever-elusive FTF had new competition—an early bird who cached after work—hours of the day when the rest of us were just greeting the dawn! It didn’t take long before we started seeing Txnurse97 caches in the area. And good caches they were. Caches with clever names and clever containers. “Arachnophobia,” “Just Ducky,” “Saved by the Bell,” “I Heart Geocaching,” “The Coliseum,” just to name a few. Quality caches in fun locations.

Thanks, Txnurse97 for lots of fun caches. We wish you our heartiest congratulations for hiding excellent caches and for finding your 1000th.

The cache: We had intended to place a regular cache, but ultimately felt the micro we placed was more in keeping with the spirit of some of Txnurse97’s caches. And, to quote BiT: “The container is a little fragile,” please use care in extracting and replacing the log. We’ve listed the terrain as a 2. It is a very comfortable 2—hard-packed trails all the way. If the rain ever returns however, that might no longer be true! Perhaps a creek crossing or a longer way around.
