Located not far from Archer Ave. along a beautiful path. It is a touch difficult getting to the start of the path but once there, it is a great walk. The cache might be difficult to get to if it has been raining and can be very muddy.
This cache is located at another bridge project by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the area. Not far away is a camp of the Corp.
Rumor has it that there was a tunnel leading away from the nearby Rico D'd Restaurant. This restaurant was once owned by Alphonse Capone as a speakeasy and brothel and the tunnel was an escape route. There used to be an old carriage house that would house a getaway car and they would drive out to Flavin Road and south to safety.
This clue from ‘Dodge the Polara’ will apply the same as the other bridge cache.
“To find this cache
you must act like a troll
so go under the bridge
and look for a hole.”
:)
This is the another in a series which includes many different structures.
The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a public works program that put over three million young men and adults to work during the Great Depression of the 1930's and 1940's in the United States.
"I propose to create a Civilian Conservation Corps to be used in simple work… more important, however, than the material gains will be the moral and spiritual value of such work." Franklin D. Roosevelt March 9, 1933
You are looking for a 1 quart Tupperware container with a log book and pencil inside. This cache also contains the usual trinkets for trade.
Have fun!
This cache is a recovered archived cache. Thanks Greenback!
