This cache is a large ammo box, located just off the path walking on Barden Tower side, and on the banks of the River Wharfe. This location is on land owned and managed by the Bolton Abbey Estate, who have kindly given permission for the location of this cache. In giving this permission, they made the following comments:
The Estate does not accept responsibility for the cache or its contents. Any person carrying out this past time does so at their own risk, as does anyone placing the cache in its hiding position. Anyone carrying out this past time must abide by the rules set out by the Geocaching Association of Great Britain and the Countryside Code in general.
The cache is located within view from a very popular footpath, so please ensure that stealth mode is used and the box is well hidden afterwards. If river is high, do not attempt to retrive the cache, come back another day!
Free parking is available just over the bridge to Appletreewick.
