Kololo bar and restaurant in Juba Sudan is apparently a wild place.
For some reason the UN has placed it out of bounds for UN staff
working in Juba, Sudan. The rumours say there are crazy things
going on there during the week-ends... During day time the place is
however a nice local restaurant serving local food at affordable
rates. It is not necessary to enter the restaurant property to
reach the cache, but it makes it a lot easier.
The Kololo bar is in Juba town, the capital of Southern Sudan.
It is said that Juba town is named after a man called Jube, but the
Khawajas (white people) misspelled the name and turned it into
Juba. Today the town is buzzing with activity as expats from
numerous NGOs and UN agencies are trying to build "the new Sudan"
after decades of civil war.
Small note on cache maintenance: I am now working
temporarily in Juba, Sudan as a UN peacekeeper. This cache is known
by the owner of the place and he will check it regularly and
contact me if there is something wrong with the cache.
