Geocache Description:

Located next to Hwy 380 east of Roswell with lots of good stuff including 3 TRAVEL BUGS to start ... and a VIEW not unlike the last alien glimpse of earth just before their crash landing in 1947.

This cache is hidden atop the road cut bluffs bordering Hwy 380 just east of Roswell. Regions of white banding visible in the native rock here are the remains from an ancient Permian sea after it evaporated. The white bands, resembling massive compact bundles of needle-like crystals, are actually selenite. Collectors can find clear selenite crystals, striated satin spar and carving grade alabaster. Ammo can is a short uphill walk from parking. Drive to the end of the surfaced extra wide shoulder, and follow your coordinates. As always, watch for any and all that bites, scratches, pricks, stings or is a general nuisance. Original contents include a FTF prize that will help you cool off a bit,as well as several other goodies and 3 Travel Bugs.

Travel bugs like to keep on the move, so please don’t hang on to them too long. And be sure to visit the little guy’s web page to log in its journey.

Happy caching!!!
